Celebrating and Reflecting on Milestones: 2000+ Subscribers

I now how more subscribers to my YouTube channel than this blog. I began the former adventure less than three years ago. To commemorate surpassing 2300 subscribers I made a video that is an opportunity to delve deeper into the purpose of my YouTube channel which is nearly the same as that for this blog, what drives the content, and what the future holds. That video is linked below and here I present a shortened version of the transcript of that video.

Understanding the Journey and the Vision

Initially, my goal for my 2000+ subscriber special video was to offer a deeper philosophical exploration of my journey on YouTube. However, with so much going on in my professional and personal life that plan was delayed. Instead, I focus on giving you insights into who I am, my thought processes, and my upcoming projects.

For those curious about my background and what shapes my thoughts, you can find an extensive recount in my 1000 subscriber special. But for now, let’s talk about my current situation and what you can expect moving forward.

Introducing My New Website

I’ve launched a new website, joelduff.org, which is designed to be a comprehensive resource for those who want to know more about my work and my perspectives, especially on deeper, sometimes theological questions that don’t always make it into videos due to their complexity.

The website isn’t just a hub for my bio; it’s a gateway to explore the projects I’m passionate about and the future aspirations I hold for this channel and beyond. It reflects my identity as a husband, father, Christian, scientist, educator, blogger, and YouTuber. Each role gives me a unique lens through which I view the world and create content.

Future Endeavors and Aspirations

Looking ahead, I have several exciting projects lined up. My content will continue to blend science with philosophical and theological explorations. This includes:

  1. Expanding on Genesis and Origin Questions – Diving into complex questions about Genesis and the origins of life, reflecting on interpretations and scientific evidence.
  2. Continuing to critique Young-Age-Creationism – I plan to convert several written series from my blog into video format. This includes discussions on Middle Eastern geology, the biblical timeline, and the interplay between science and scripture.
  3. Addressing Big Questions – Tackling big existential questions like the purpose of life, our role on Earth, and how these tie into both science and faith.

Target Audience and Mission

My content is tailored for a diverse audience—those who seek understanding across the intersection of science and faith. Whether you’re a long-time subscriber or newly curious about these topics, my aim is to provide thoughtful, well-researched content that challenges conventional thinking and promotes a deeper understanding of complex issues.

But, my YouTube channel and this blog are primarily a place for seekers, skeptics, and believers to engage in meaningful dialogue about science, and faith. It’s about presenting a balanced view that respects differing opinions and encourages thoughtful discussion.

Thanks for your interest!

As we celebrate this milestone, I’m reminded of where I started out and why I wanted to share my thoughts in this format. This blog and my YouTube channel are not just about reaching subscriber numbers but about fostering a community eager to explore, learn, and grow together. The upcoming projects and the expansion of content into new platforms like my website are all geared towards providing those that are intellectually curious about the how science and faith may and may not interact with one another.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your engagement and curiosity make this all worthwhile. Stay tuned for more, hopefully stimulating, content, and as always, thank you for your support and curiosity!
